RunPod’s Secure Cloud raised 12 of its 29 on-demand GPU rates between our reads of October 8, 2026 at 15:41 and 16:41 UTC. The H100 SXM went from $3.49 to $3.99 a GPU-hour (+14.3%), the B200 from $6.79 to $7.99 (+17.7%) and the H200 from $4.59 to $5.29 (+15.3%). The Community Cloud rates for the same cards did not change in that read: the H100 SXM there stayed at $2.69.
What moved, and what did not
Each of the 12 rates had been the same in every hourly read since we first read it, between September 6 and September 22, 2026. They all changed in one read, at 16:41:08 UTC on October 8, and the read of 05:41 UTC on October 9 returned the same new figures. At the top of the range the B300 went from $7.89 to $8.99 (+13.9%) and the A100 80GB from $1.59 to $1.79 (+12.6%). Among the smaller cards the RTX 4090 went from $0.74 to $0.89, the RTX 5090 from $0.99 to $1.19, the L4 and the A40 each from $0.49 to $0.59, the RTX PRO 6000 from $2.09 to $2.49, the RTX 6000 Ada from $0.84 to $0.99 and the RTX A6000 from $0.53 to $0.59 - rises between 11.3% and 20.4%.
The other 17 Secure Cloud rates, among them the H100 PCIe, H100 NVL, L40S and MI300X, kept their figures. None of the 35 Community Cloud on-demand rates changed in the same read. On Community Cloud the B200 stayed at $5.98, the H200 at $3.59 and the A100 80GB at $1.19.
The Community Cloud H100 SXM stayed at $2.69 an hour while the Secure Cloud one moved. Over a 730-hour month on one GPU, the Secure Cloud rate went from $2,547.70 ($3.49 × 730) to $2,912.70 ($3.99 × 730).
Where the new rates sit against the median
Our card pages compare each provider’s cheapest on-demand rate - its rate card - with community capacity and marketplace floors kept out, so RunPod enters them at its Secure Cloud figure. In the build read at 05:41 UTC on October 9, the median of 31 H100 SXM rate cards was $3.54; RunPod’s $3.99 sat above it. The B200 median was $7.17 over 32 rate cards, against RunPod’s $7.99; the H200 median $4.51 over 44, against $5.29. The A100 80GB median was $1.84 over 48 rate cards, and RunPod’s new $1.79 sat just under it.
Both RunPod H100 SXM quotes, Secure and Community, are constituents of the week’s H100 index, so the $3.99 is part of that provisional week. Nothing here is forecast: this is what the two reads returned.
Who moved the figure
The RunPod parser module was not changed on October 8, and the Community Cloud rates it reads in the same call stayed put, so the change came from RunPod’s side. One detail matters for anyone checking: we read RunPod through its public API, and when we opened runpod.io/pricing at 06:43 UTC on October 9, the page’s own markup still carried the earlier Secure Cloud figure of $3.49 for the H100 SXM. The new rates are what the API returned.
How to check these figures yourself
Every figure above is listed under this text with the page it links and the time we read it. The live rates are on RunPod’s provider page and RunPod’s H100 SXM page, next to the API endpoint they were read from; the medians are on the H100 SXM, B200, H200 and A100 80GB card pages. Those pages update with every hourly read; this article keeps the figures of October 8 and 9.
