Lium first read October 17, 2026: 8×A100 80GB node $13.44 an hour

Every figure below is a reading this site published - a rate read on a provider's own page, or a value of the index computed from such rates - listed with its source under the text and frozen as of that day: prices move, and a dated piece says what was true on its date. The live tables are linked beside each figure.

We first read Lium, a GPU marketplace, at 14:40 UTC on October 17, 2026. In our read of 06:39 UTC on October 18, two of the 11 Lium quotes on its provider page were live: a whole machine of eight A100 80GB cards at $13.44 an hour, and a whole machine of eight B200 cards at $69.84 an hour. The other nine stood as “thin market”: Lium had too few free machines from providers we count as verified to carry a floor.

How a marketplace figure is read

On Lium each provider sets its own ask per machine, so there is no single rate card. We read it the way we read Vast.ai and Clore.ai: the figure for a card is the median of the five cheapest verified asks, never published when fewer than three are free. Lium prints no verified badge, so “verified” here means a machine outside Lium’s reclaimable spot tier whose provider scores 95 or more on Lium’s own 14-day reliability score; the score is Lium’s, the threshold is ours. Lium’s public nodes feed lists only machines that are free at that moment, which is why the book is thin. Single-GPU orders and machines rented whole are two separate books and are never mixed.

The two live figures

The A100 80GB machine works out at $13.44 ÷ 8 = $1.68 per GPU-hour. It was published in 8 of the 17 hourly reads between 14:40 UTC on October 17 and 06:39 UTC on October 18, and withheld in the rest. In the read of 05:39 UTC, Vast.ai’s floor for whole A100 80GB machines was a two-card machine at $2.0022 an hour, or $2.0022 ÷ 2 = $1.0011 per GPU-hour. The A100 80GB page printed a median rate card of $2.00 over 58 providers; marketplace floors are not part of that median, and the figure is here only for scale.

The B200 machine works out at $69.84 ÷ 8 = $8.73 per GPU-hour, and it was published in 14 of the 17 reads. Vast.ai’s floor for whole B200 machines in the 05:39 read was a four-card machine at $36.0104 an hour, or $36.0104 ÷ 4 = $9.0026 per GPU-hour, so Lium’s machine read $9.0026 - $8.73 = $0.2726 per GPU-hour lower. The machines differ in size, eight cards against four. The B200 page printed a median rate card of $7.50 over 35 providers.

What was withheld

Two single-GPU floors were published only in the first two reads. The H200 was last published at $5.70 per GPU-hour from the read of 15:40 UTC on October 17, and the B200 at $6.00 from the same read; both have been withheld as a thin market since 16:40 UTC that day. Neither is a current price, and neither enters any figure on the site. For scale, the H200 page printed a median rate card of $4.65 over 50 providers. Nothing here is forecast: a marketplace floor changes whenever machines are rented or freed.

How to check these numbers yourself

Each Lium figure links the card’s own page on lium.io, which prints the range of live asks; the feed it was read from, /api/public/v1/nodes, needs no key and stands beside the link on our Lium provider page. Vast.ai’s floors link its console. The medians are the ones /gpu/a100-80, /gpu/b200 and /gpu/h200 print. Every figure above is listed under this piece with its source and read time, frozen on October 18, 2026; the provider page keeps the current reading, including which floors are withheld.

Answers the reader question: what does this card cost per hour, and at which clouds. Written because A new provider entered the database on October 17: Lium, a GPU marketplace read hourly from its public nodes feed since 14:40 UTC, the third marketplace on the site after Vast.ai and Clore.ai. All of it is open data under CC BY 4.0; the numbers here are a snapshot, the index and the card pages are current.
